The Jetboil Flash Cooking System
The Flash Cooking System evolved out of Jetboil's revolutionary Personal Cooking System (PCS). While the design has remained largely unchanged, there have been a few crucial tweaks that make the Flash better than ever. The Flash keeps the same all-in-one design of the PCS which combines the burner and pot into one unit that locks together. Because there are no variables to worry about, heat is always applied to the FluxRing in the most efficient way. Thanks to the insulated cover you can actually hold the cooking cup whilst you cook. The stove also has a piezo ignition making it easy to light with a single push of the switch.
All of the components of the Flash Cooking System can be stored inside the cooking cup, including a 110g gas canister. In other words, you can have everything you need to cook a meal, or make tea which takes up no more room than a 1 litre Nalgene bottle and weighs very little.
The new Flash also features a new designed burner that protects the ignition system, and a long, fold-out wire handle replaces the short knob to adjust the flame. The cozy has also been updated with a heat indicator which turns orange when the water in the cup is hot. Even the lid has been changed to make it more useful, being transparent you can keep an eye on what you're cooking without wasting time and gas. Jetboil now include a gas canister stabiliser in the package, which was previously sold separately.
