Hope Valley Adventure Film Festival 2012
Over the last two years Outside have been proud to support this great local event which has gone from strength to strength. Held at Hope Valley College, just a ten minute drive from Outside's Hathersage branch, the festival highlights the best in adventure film making.
As well as the screenings there will be: lectures, an exhibition of work from local artists and photographers, an opportunity to try new sports, a book launch, activities for younger children and beer, pie and chips.
As if that wasn't enough there will even be a raffle with loads of great prizes to be won (with the total value currently over £1000). All money raised at HVAFF goes to funding projects at the school.
When: Saturday 25th February (11:00 am - 10:00 pm)
Where: Hope Valley College
Tickets can be bought in person from Outside Hathersage or online at hvaff.co.uk. Adult (£7.50) and Family (£22.00) tickets are cheaper in advance (there might not be any left by the 25th!). Under 5's enter free!
Richard Parks Evening Lecture
There will also be an opportunity to see Richard Parks speak at the festival, providing the evening entertainment. Last summer he completed the 737 Challenge, climbing the seven continental summits and reaching the three poles (North Pole, South Pole and the summit of Everest) in just seven months, raising a huge amount of money for Maire Curie Cancer Care in the process.
Tickets for the Richard Parks lecture are available at Outside Hathersage and hvaff.co.uk, priced £8.50.
