Jet Boil Flash

The Flash Cooking System evolved out of Jetboil's first and revolutionary Personal Cooking System (PCS). The Flash has the same classic all in one design of the PCS which combines the burner and pot into one unit that locks together. This makes the stove easy to use and you can even hold it whilst you cook without burning your hands due to the insulated cosy. The stove also has a piezo lighter installed next to the burner to make it easy to light with the click of a single switch.

When it comes to storage the Flash Cooking System is also brilliantly designed. The 1 litre container that the stove comes with can hold the burner and a 110g gas cylinder. Like this the stove is the size of a Nalgene bottle and is very easy to pack away and store. It is also incredibly light at 397g (without pot stabilizer and gas cylinder).

In terms of improvements over its predecessor the Flash has a newly designed burner that secures the igniter, protecting it from any knocks that could cause it to fail. The stove also comes with pot stabailsers. Because the stove is so tall and narrow these make cooking on uneven ground that much easier. The new cosy that goes around the outside of the pot/cup has a colour changing heat indicator that will tell you when contents are hot and this reduces the chances you'll let the stove boil over. Finally the older switch that controlled the intensity of the burner flame has been exchanged for a much more usable wire turner that is easier to use with gloves or cold hands.
