Trail Pole
These trail poles offer one important quality over their competitors. The extension/compression system relies on two clasp catches and not on twisting the poles tightly with an internal locking system. This means that they are much better suited to cold (winter climbing) conditions. Traditional twist lock poles are hard to do up and undo with gloves, cold hands or if the outer of the pole is wet (which is often a problem with loads of snow or water around).
