Three griprests give you options for hand placements on the axe: one at the base for your little finger, one higher up for your fore finger and one above that for matching two hands on the same tool. The fore finger rest doubles as a quick release mechanism enabling the grips to be moved to the top of the axe with minimum effort and fuss even with gloved hands. The lower pinky rest rest now flips up too, making it easier to plunge the axe into snow.
